The first museological study on the project idea started with Müze Sergi İşleri manager and curator Deniz Koç Çeliker and her team making detailed technical examinations in the model museum MUSE - Museo delle Scienze, Trento, Italy. Following these studies, major works such as modeling of ABBM, its complete design, construction of exhibition units and collection blocks were carried out by the specified team.
The modernization of collections and the organization of exhibitions can be considered as the most significant and time-consuming tasks during the establishment of the museum. In this context, we are talking about the curatorial modernization of a quarter of a million specimens. During this process, Prof. Dr. Erol Yıldırım, along with graduate students at the research center, transferred over 200,000 insect specimens to newly prepared boxes in the unit tray system. Additionally, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Neslihan Gültekin, with graduate students, organized approximately 20,000 herbarium specimens and 3,500 species in hierarchical, genus-level alphabetical folders compatible with the Flora of Turkey. Both major tasks represent the museum's initial curatorial practices, and both professors are the first curators of the museum. The first bird specimens of the museum were also prepared by graduate student Ersin Aykut.
The establishment of the museum, which took a full five years to complete, involved all aspects of applications, collection arrangements, exhibition preparations, content creation, graphic applications, labels, construction processes, detailed studies, and was led by project executor Prof. Dr. Levent Gültekin. Throughout the specified tasks and stages, scientific expertise was prominent, with active involvement from professionals, notably Assoc. Prof. Dr. Neslihan Gültekin, Dr. Sci. Alexander S. Konstantinov, Dr. Sci. Boris A. Korotyaev, Dr. Sci. Mark G. Volkovich, Dr. Sci. Chris H. C. Lyal, Prof. Dr. Vladimir I. Dorofeev, and administrative staff Cumhur Akpınar.
