Plantae Scientific Collection
Plantae Scientific Collections, also known as botanical collections, consist of herbariums of plant specimens, materials and data used for scientific research, education and systematic botanical studies. These collections are vital resources for understanding and documenting the diversity of plant life, including vascular plants, mosses, ferns, algae, fungi and related organisms. Botanical collections cover a wide range of plant groups and constitute unique research materials in plant taxonomy, systematics, ecology and plant species conservation. ABBM's Plantae collection consists mostly of vascular plants collected from Türkiye, especially Eastern Anatolia. These collections, which are classified in a hierarchical order in a folder box system in accordance with museum standards in modern compact cabinets, are at the service of researchers on subjects related to the flora of Türkiye.
