Animalia Scientific Collections cover a wide range of taxonomic groups, including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, invertebrates, and more, and serve as invaluable resources in understanding the diversity of the animal kingdom. They are essential for documenting and preserving biodiversity, conducting taxonomic research, understanding the evolutionary history of animals, and contributing to conservation efforts. These collections are often used to support educational programs, facilitate species identification, and enable a variety of scientific research. Insects are the richest group in the Animalia collection within ABBM. Insecta specimens constitute this collection mainly collected from Türkiye, especially Eastern Anatolia, with predominance of Coleoptera, Hymenoptera, Diptera, Lepidoptera and Hemiptera species. These collections, which are classified according to hierarchical order in unit try system boxes in accordance with museum standards in modern compact cabinets, are at the service of researchers.
